Tang Reccomendation

I am looking for a tang that isnt the everyday blue hippo or yellow tang. I want something a little different but still affordable and easy-moderate to care for. I was originally thinking aboot getting a desjardini tang but started thinking that it would get too big for my 125g tank. My stocklist that I plan to have is 2 clowns, tiger jawfish, midas blenny, flasher wrasse, bicolor angel, copperband butterfly, and a magnificent foxface to go along with the tang if that changes anything.

Tominis are sweet and not super common. Whats moderately priced? But tominis are hardy tangs with good personailites.

I dont want to spend over $70

I would love to have a purple tang but I want my tang to be peaceful too because of the copperband and bicolor angel which are very fragile fish that dont like to be pushed around.

the copperband will probably be fine with any tang you get.i have a CBB with an achilles, mimic, and purple tang and they all get along.the mimic tangs really are cool fish, the one i have looks like the eibli angel and i believe he only cost like $25.

I would go with a kole tang. They are beautiful. Mimic tangs are pretty when they are young, but then change to a brown color, which is still quite pretty. Kole tangs are easy to keep, relatively inexpensive, and beautiful.

my vote is for the atlantic blue

I love my purple tang and he's been with me for 8 years and hasn't gotten any bigger in my 100gal since I got him (he's maybe 5 inches). He is only aggressive to other tangs and I had to put a whopper of a Naso and yellow tang, but they do well together. The blonde Naso is pretty too and hardy, but not as pretty as that atlantic blue....

I guess Massachusetts is pretty far North, but I didn't know they spoke with a Canadian accent. :p

How about an Acanthurus maculiceps? I think acropora nut has one; you should take a look at his tank of the month thread.

I think your tank is maxed out already. Just my opinion. If I really want a tang I would take something out first. probably the angel.

hope you don't mind if I jump onto this thread...I have a 225g with a yellow tang, purple tang, and blue hippo tang along with a bunch of other fish...they're all pretty well establish. Would i be possible for me to add a powder blue tang?

thanks!
