Tang swallowed air?

My juvenile orange shoulder tang looked just fine this morning. I fed a few pellets and now his stomach looks bloated and he's having trouble swimming. It's like he swallowed air and is having a hard time keeping from floating to the top. I've had him for a few months now and he's always looked healthy and happy.

If it is air that he swallowed, is there anything I can do? Feed peas? He looks very uncomfortable right now and I'd really like to help him out, so any advice would be great.

Thanks.

Could be intestinal blockage; I've had that before with tangs.

Take a few peas, boil them and then peel off the skin. Feed them to your tang.

May not help, but it also won't hurt.

Fish do swallow air and use it for their swim bladder.

"In physostomous swim bladders, a connection is retained between the swim bladder and the gut, the pneumatic duct, allowing the fish to fill up the swim bladder by "gulping" air. Excess gas can be removed in a similar manner". from Wikepedia
