Tangs for beginner?

Hay does any one know if a blue tang and kole tang would go good together? I love both of these fish very very much but.... Are they ok for beginner,is a 75g to small and would they fight?(I've read I lot on these fish but want to get others intel)

P.S. I'm a tang lover with no tang lol:lolspin:

Definitely too small for two. You will get conflicting opinions on one. The tank is nowhere near big enough for a blue hippo, powder blue or blue Caribbean tang. Not sure which one you are talking about. It is the minimum I believe for the Kole tang. Some will say its fine and some will say it isn't enough room. How old is the tank and how much live rock will make a difference. Not enough rock and there won't be much to graze on and too much there won't be enough swimming room. A pic of the tank would be helpful for an opinion.

Also what type of filtration do you have? Sump or hob? Tangs are messy.
 
Go to liveaquaria.com and look up the fish you plan on. It will give minimum tank sizes. Then I would suggest posting a stock list on the stocking thread in the new to the hobby board. Snorvich gives good opinions on stocking. Whether you can have the tang may also depend on what else you want to add

I'm a little confused with the picture thing I've had this acount for 2 days.
I have 2 small pieces 4 medium and 2 big
 
The blue tang is too big for your system on average. It has been done like the above poster stated but for the fish to thrive most specimens will need a lot more swimming room, like a 6" tank. Tangs are open water fish and need space to swim, dart etc. I could live in a 8'x8' room but not happily. I would strongly suggest against it. The kole tang should be fine as long as your other stock doesn't counter indicate it.
 
And given what I know now, I wish I would not have. I had a yellow tank in there too for quite a while. He died 5 years ago.

Could I have a different type of tang with the kole?/ what would be a good tank mate?
 
Only 1 kole tang would be best and no others, if you absolutely have to have a tang.

Lots of good tankmates out there, smaller ones. What do you like, color wise? Where do you want your fish to hang out? Bottom, middle, all around?
