Tangs & Ich = more stubborn

So I have a 40 breeder set up as a qt and been running cupramine at .5 for about 3 weeks and am still noticing a couple spots on my purple tang and now my blue hippo has started flashing who's in there with him. Is ich just more resilient when it comes to a qt that has tangs in it? My swallowtail angel and sunburst anthias went off without a hitch but seems to be lingering since I have tangs. I do have a decorator goby in there so there is sand but the decorations are fake coral and pvc. Cupramine consistently measures .5 each time I've measured over the last 3 weeks. Matter of patience?

Tangs are known to have a great slim coat like other fish, that's why they are prone to parasites and diseases. I would still give a treatment of Prazi-Pro and see how they do.
