im an addict lol
do you know why my tangs will not eat my macroalge it is green Im not sure what one it is, but they didn't even go look at it. I put it on a clip that sticks to the tank.

Try to use more specific names, brands, labels: we can't see your tank or your tangs unless you paint us a verbal picture.

But if it's any consolation I've had tangs and never had any of them go for feeding clips. The only thing that did was an urchin, who then stole the clip and wore it on his butt for the next month, possibly hoping for a refill.

well I have an Atlantic Blue tang and a sailfine tang. as far as seeing my tank and tangs click on the little red house but I know what you ment. I don't know the name of the macro I used. It is green with stringing vien like with narrow leaves off the vines that have a jaged edge on it. The macro is from my refugium so I don't have a label.

you may consider trying some of the package green or red algae in a clip, Still not sure what marco from your descripition but they dont like it so I would try something esle. If its Chaeto i hear thats not the nest for them anyhow, though it does not sound like chaeto. *chaeto will look like green fishing line all bunched up.
Could be Calurpa, if so it will have little grape looking things on it.
Sometime tangs will eat this sometimes not.
I used the packaged red and green algea for my tangs and they love it.

If the macro your trying to feed is the stuff in this photo then the reason they're not eating it is probably because its caulerpa ( taxifolia, or mexicana? ). Caulerpa contains toxins which make distasteful to herbivores. Try feeding them a prepared produst like seaweed select dried seaweed sheets.

I do feed them the prepard stuff. I pulled all of the caulerpa out of the tank after doing some research. I have 2 different red algaes in there now plus a new green macro.
