How many different types of tangs can you put in one tank? The size of the tank is 3ft X 3ft X 2.5ft

Any tangs require at minimum 4 feet in length. They're big swimmers.

1 maybe 2, 3 would be pushing it; but advanced planning would be needed: rock work, filter capacity, tank mates.....yellow, purple, choc, chevron, kole(not my fav)!!!

Yes, these are on the smaller side, and are constant grazers. They aren't as big of lateral swimmers as Acanthurus and zebrasomas are.

I've seen yellow tangs (starting small) do well in a tank that size.
