I have read that breeders have had no luck in breeding tangs because the larvae are very small and get destroyed by filtration. Plus the odds in the wild were like 1 survivor in a brood. can anyone tell me if this information is correct.:uzi: :uzi: :uzi: :fish2:

That sounds to me like half of it. The other half would be that it is incredibly difficult to get them to spawn in the first place. The conditions need to be just right. But I am no expert.

I know they do spawn almost every day in large aquariums. I'm not sure what steps are ever taken to attempt to raise any of these eggs.

I also believe they have a VERY long larvae/Met stage.
