We are getting some nice color!!! We are going to take some of the base rock out and do some aqua scaping with some of the Marco's rock we picked up at the show; as it is almost done curing. I stink at taking pictures so bear with me lol.... I haven't added any fish because of the Bio lod with the 2 tangs. Once We get rid of the Naso I am going to see what my options are.

After long thought and bugging the crud out of all of you :) I am going to stick with the MH setup I have now. To solve my heat problem I am going to move the sump to the basement, which is always cooler then the rest of the house and I can also have fans blow directly on the sump. If that doesnt keep it cool enough I can then add a chiller in the basement and not have the extra noise. Ohh I can also run a cool electrical box with timers like alot of you have. Any good sites for that stuff?

As far as my problem of saving the money on the electric with T5 lights... LOL who am I kidding this hobby is going to take every penny I have anyway :D

Tank is looking good...Yea ..if you want to save money find another hobby...
How did you "cure " the Marco's rock ??

I took a 40 gallon brute bucket and let the rock sit in there with a power head and a skimmer. When rhe ammonia showed up I just kept doing small water changes. all the water params are basically normal now. It really suprised me at how much doe off there was on the dried rock... it stunk to high heaven.

6stringpenguin how big is your tank? I just want to make sure he goes to a home that is much larger then mine :) Ed has first dibs on him if he wants because he got me started with this nice setup and he tank is HUGE lol. I sen him a PM, if he doesn't want it you are next on the list :) He is a beautiful fish although a little scardy cat.

Our toughest figh is the Maroon Clown (SHark Bait) you cannot put your hand in the tank without him biting you! LOL every once and a while I give him a backhand swat because he draws blood ...

The tank looks great! Is that the anemone you were having problems with? Did he make it?
I put my Marcos rock right into my tank and had another cycle. It's my new tank, which has nothing in it yet, so it was okay. I was surprised to see how much the ammonia spiked, too.

Yes that is the anenome that is the bane of my tank... He is still alive but much smaller. He is up high Under the 175W 10K MH bulbs to I hope he colors back up. The Maroon is now hosting him so I hope that helps.

That green keeps showing up on the back wall and it is a pain in the *** to scrape off!

I have a 125 gallon FOWLR. It depends on the price, but i'm sure your friend will get him. I also wanted to know if it was a male or female. Thanks either way.

Ohh I won't be selling him, If Ed doesn't want him I will give him to any LIRA member that has a big enough tank to keep him fat and Happy :)

What is a good size tank for a Naso tang to grow and be happy? If they say 125 you are next in line. Of course this is all depending on my wife and kids not kicking me out of the house for giving away their favorite fish. How do I tell if it is a he or she?
