tank breakdown livestock 4 sale Bburg

New member
Unfortunately, I am getting back out of the hobby. I have the following stuff available in Blacksburg - send me an email mbortner at gmail dot com if interested. I do not check this forum often so best is to email me

live rock - at least 80 lbs, maybe 100 lbs. no visible aiptasia (had a copperband, just sold it to a close friend - it would eat out of my hand so was easy to catch). Lots of life, very active. Most pieces in the 5-10 lb range, some smaller pieces, and one piece that is probably ~20 lb. Fiji, marshall islands, all sorts. $3 per lb. If you want all of it, I'll do it for $2.50 per lb.

Corals

The following are all normally super expensive corals - I just need to find a home for them. $30 each. Its not worth my time to take pics - everything is very healthy and sells for more than this for a 0.5-1" frag. And note below that anyone who buys any of this will also get some extra free frags...

-Superman monti digi - ~5" small colony
-ORA purple stylo (one of the top 10 corals of last year), sm-med colony (25-30 heads) - it is bright bubble gum pink in my tank (this one is $40)
-purple cali tort - ~5", 2 large branches, 2 small branches, 4 or 5 buds getting ready to take off
-baby blue tipped cream base table colony - right now it is not as vibrant as it once was since my halides are ~14 months old, but it still looks nice and colors up great in high flow and fresh light. ~6" diameter colony.
-bright pink birds nest - nice colony with fine branches that is getting ready to explode. ~5" tall, 4" diameter and all branches are completely covered in new growth ready to form what looks like 1000 (literally) new branches

So anyone who buys one of these colonies or more than 20 lbs of LR will also get the following frags for free:

-"hockey puck" - a local coral that has been around for >10 years and is a beautiful blue/cream table colony
-"green slimer" - local favorite
-"blue milli" millepora
-purple tipped yellow acro - which under fresh lights is a really pretty baby yellow

Fish:

Make an offer - I am more worried about a good home than the $. Obviously they cannot come out until the tank is broken down. The hippo and clownfish have been in the tank for 3+ years. Mandarin and neon goby for ~1.5 yrs.

mandarin goby - very fat and healthy
clownfish - single, darker orange like the perculas (not the super bright orange oscellaris variant)
hippo - ~5", will practically eat out of your hand, well established
neon goby - very fat and healthy

Live sand and chaeto
I also have tons of live sand that will be available if anyone wants to add some to their tank or sump. Also chaeto...

equipment

Once the livestock is gone, the 120g AGA dual overflow tank, sump, stand, and canopy will be available at a great price - thinking around $300. Lighting setup with dual 250 HQI lamps on SS ballast and 4xT5 on Icecap 660 will also be for sale, along with an Octopus skimmer, Tunze 6105 (new gen) plus multicontroller, Air Water Ice Typhoon 5 stage RO/DI, Mag 12 return pumps, Tunze Osmolator, and some other miscellaneous gear.

Thanks,
Mike

Also have xenia and a lot of zoos and star polyps - anyone who makes a purchase is welcome to some...

Mike, I did'nt know you were back in the hobby. Sorry to hear you are getting out. I would like the -ORA purple stylo. I know you always had really nice tanks. I sent you a PM with my phone number. Thanks Michael

All corals sold.

Neon goby spoken for.

Still 70-80 lbs of LR. I had more than I thought. One piece is at least 15 lbs. 3 or 4 more on the order of 10 lbs, and then some smaller pieces.

Anyone need LR? Or fish?

Lighthouze - hope to be breaking the rest down by early Dec. Osmolator will be available at that time.
