Tank cycled with coral?

After 3 weeks 17g is cycled and I changed 5g of water and scrubed some of the diatoms which I'm sure it's more to come. I only have 2 bulb t5s, so that should slow down the algae. I transfer few mushrooms from my other tank, will they survive the diatoms attack? Only planning GSP, mushroom and xenia on this tank.

I have just cycled a 10 myself and am going to take a couple of sh rooms from my other tank and put them in this weekend. Mine have survived worse so I think they will be fine.

sounds good, after I clean the glass in a matter of minutes it's there again.

Diatoms never hurt any of myushrooms. Mushrooms are resilient some people have trouble killing them ha

Yeah mushrooms should be fine. I tried to kill some off in my tank thought they were all gone but few weeks later I see them growing on my rocks again!

Ill just covered the rocks with mushrooms. Low maintenance tank.
