Tank is slipping through my fingers!

The old air driven sponge filters are also excellent, especially in cases where a hang on the back filter might not fit well.

How are the fish doing?

So far so good. I have had some trouble keeping the tank temperature stable, but I think I have a good hold of it now. The great news is that they are all feeding really well.

I feel like the female might have a swim bladder issue because she has to swim to get to the top of the water, but sinks as soon as she stops swimming. All spots or "fuzzies" have cleared up, but the discoloration is still there. Should I worry about that, or is that just the wound that needs to heal after such trauma? They look similar still to previous pics I posted.

Well i'm using my $12 50W glass heater that I normally use to heat my water before I do a change, that may have issues. It doesn't kick on when it needs to for some reason, but I think I the dial set just right and it goes fine. A good heater can definitely give you less grief :(

I've been debating it, but since I have figured out where to dial it in right now so it stays at 80 I am okay with it. Money is pretty tight now (being a student and all). I'm even debating whether to spend $20 on a small filter just to get the particulates out.

I am a student too and to justify someof these expenses i go out to dinner 2-3 times a month and to the bar only once or twice. a bar tab can easily = a decent fish!

I expect the discoloration will go away in another week or two with continued treatment for ich. Usually eliminating the primary problem will be sufficient for the rest of the problems to resolve on their own.
