I have 125 gallon Truvue Aquasystem, which has an integrated filter built into the back. I have a couple of options, and was wondering what people think.
1) Drill the tank and add a sump below. Could two 20L be "linked" together with a PVC pipe? The reason I ask is underneath the stand is narrow ~14 inches wide, and so 20L would be the best size, if I could manage two. Could probably plumb the sump back tothe integrated portion of the tank , and make it a fuge.
2) Use a Tunze Skimmer in the integrated filter chamber, followed by a fuge and return (all part of the integrated)
3) get a new tank (this tank is about 10 years old, freshwater)
Can anybody offer their ideas about these options, or maybe supply some other alternatives? Been going over these plans for awhile, and im just wondering what the best option will be.
Also, as a side note, the tank is 60L, 18W, 24H, and with the integrated filter, about 48 inches of the tank ends up being only 12W. How hard is aquascaping a 12 inch tank?
