I actually got really lucky. Forgot I had egg crate under the sand. Just kept annoying him until he finally let go enough that I could lift the egg crate with him still attached. So I just cut out the small section that he was attached to and put in in the new tank. He has already acclimated himself. Nice and open, nice tight mouth and color is great. Once he moves I will pull the piece of egg crate out. This is my last tank so no need to move him again. Only reason I am still in the hobby with 4 kids is that I have a pair of Gold Stripes that I have had for about 12 years that I cant bear to let go.
Credit card, spatula, butter knife, etc., works fine if the anemone is on the glass; not so well if it is on a rock. In the latter case, I just remove the animal with the rock.

Is there another alternative to get the nem to move if on a rock besides moving the rock? I have a large Red haddoni that moved onto a rock in the back of the tank and i have a PH pointed at him now for almost 2 weeks and he still wont move.
