 She won't be home. The kids all have soccer games Saturday. She did leave a directive the I kill Clark if the kitchen floor gets scratched or damaged though.

Cheaper to replace a floor that than the tank...............

I was too lazy to read all the post... was there mention of beer?

I am always looking for an excuse to not do school work.

Send me a pm with more specific location info.

Information:

Will be moving a 450 gallon 6ft by 4ft acrylic tank from a home in west st louis county to another home in west st louis county. At origin there is stairs out of a basement with no walkout, at destination there is a walkout basement. Tank weighs around 500lbs, stand weighs around 400 lbs, sump a couple hundred lbs.

We will also move a tank that is in origins garage down into the basment, this is an 8ft tank that is 280 gallons, but weighs about the same as the other tank as it is glass.

If you need more specific info please let me know via pm. Will PM address and time to all who can make it on Friday the day before

Thanks

Beer will be provided after the move is complete

Let us know the time thing as soon as you may. Katie has soccer from 10 - 11, but I am sure the wife would be able to take her.

I'll help Ocicat hold the door :)

Good idea - you always want a spotter.

And I imagine Chelsey will be busy documenting the entire debacle with her camera.

FWIW, we don't have to move my new tank into the basement. That was just a joke. Now, if we get the old tank out and everyone feels up to moving the new tank into the basement, I won't complain. But, I have no expectation that we will do it unless the crew decides they (you guys) want to:)

I am sure my arm can be twisted to provide some beer for those of legal age. I hope Olympia and Falstaff are okay with everyone:D

Time will definitely be afternoon sometime. I have to work until at least Noon. As Clark mentioned, I would like to shoot for around 1:00 PM, as long as I don't get stuck at work.

I wish...I would also like to capture some pics of the elusive Griss. However, I am back in Columbia, so unless I have to go to STL for something else I'm afraid I won't be able to come help :(

Moving this down the steps is a lot easier than going up.. We did it last time with 4 guys and slid it down the stairs. Took us less than 5 mins from the drive way to the stand.. Again that was going down the steps not up.

It looks like I will be available, will definitely be able to tell you next week....but as of today my calendar is open then!

SEASL's September meeting will be held on Saturday, Sept 9 at 11:00am. I might be able to help after that, will let you know! My tank is a 175 bowfront glass, and I carried it with one other guy. I think it had to weigh like 400 pounds.

there all day!!! Top that off with a couple of beers, go home and take one nice nap..

I hope that doesn't sound too old...

It does. But it sure does sound good. :D

Roy, We need a designated driver maybe?!?

Perhaps Chelsey can be the DD? She does not drink and she drives responsibly.
