I do, yes. For me, every 3-4 days it starts to turn a slight brown/yellow, a weird color, and then I know to wash. Usually the part where the GFO is, is white, it's just the sock part that has nothing on it, collects stuff that is passing through.

How fast is your turning color?

Just a quick update everyone.

I decided to buy ChemiPure "Elite." I actually took it out of the bag and ran it "active" in my duel reactor.

I have also been dosing .4ml of vodka per day w/heavy feeding.

I figured it would be a good idea to dose .2 in the morning and .2 at night.

The results have been a drop in po4. The coloration is a lighter blue then previously posted. Ill post a pic soon.

I also took everyone's suggustions and am running my skimmer 24/7.

It looks like the alage on the rocks are dying off and...

the water is noticeably clearer!!!!

The only thing I cant determine is which operation is "working"

The skimming?
Chemi Pure Elite?
Vodka?

Po4: Undetectable; however did notice some red cayno on the sand bed in a "dead" area.

Tank water MUCH clearer.

I havent increased my dosage of vodka. I started with, and am currently at, .4ml/day.

Should I continue dosing at this level?

sounds like it might be slowly coming around. Do you have anywhere to place some activated charcoal? It always helped clean my water up in a few hours...just don't leave it in there for more than a day or so.

BTW how long should I leave the chemipure in the reactor before I dump it?
