So question ... My girlfriend keeps saying the room with my rimless tank smells like the dog peed in the room ... When it was a covered nano she said it did not smell .. I run carbon and gfo in a brs reactor .... I do not smell anything in the room .., do others complain about oders from rimless tanks ?

Reef tanks shouldn't smell. Biggest reason I always stuck with saltwater/ reef only instead possibly playing around with a planted freshwater tanks in addition is smell. A healthy reef should be odorless, minus the skimmer of course.

I just ordered JJ, working between excel spreadsheets and surfing RC. Gotta love doing dawls.
Back on topic, reefs shouldn't smell, like mentioned, using a carbon filter on your skimmers collection cup or storage container should prevent smells.
