Tank Of The Month - June 2008

Wonderful selection of corals, nice to see the variety, not just sps when there are so many great lps, and others, wish you were close enough to WI for some trades, - Mark

Awesome write up about your stunning reef. Congratulations my friend! You deserve it. I miss the days of enjoying the tank with some spring rolls at the restaurant, while discussing reefing methodologies;)

Right on! Congrats man, you have a beautiful setup. What is the coral in the 2nd picture after you explain the photoperiod? It looks like a purple montipora with the yellow bottom and yellow polyps? It is my favorite specimen of yours!

Congratulations on a brilliant tank, write-up and stunning images.

Patience truly is one of the main skills one must master in this lifestyle, and your tank shows the results that can be achieved.

Beautiful work. You and your niece are masters.
It's everything a reef aquarium can be; screaming color, great variety, fab aquascape design, superb specimens. I've never seen healthier corals in my life, look at those polyps go!
They are clearly very happy in your care.
And your montiporas are killing me.

Also, the photographer is the absolute best, those are literally the best photos i've ever seen.
Congratulations. And well deserved! :-)

Great story, better photos and amazing tank.
If some day I arrive to something just similar to your frag tank I would be more than happy.
All my recognition for you and your niece.

Very nice tank!! I was just wondering in the Circulation portion of the article you mentioned the Tunzes. What is your settings on the controller, times, percents? Also what in the world is a branch adapter? Once again great looking tank.

Very Nice Tank, I like how you are letting the torts grow out.

i start all of my colony from a small 1"-1 1/2" frag,,baby sit them all the way through just like raise bunch alittle kids ,,make sure they don't fight ,find them the right spot, find them the right food and watch them grow,,so far so good,,they learn how to live together..:) :) for many years now.:D ,,and thank you for comment.
