k for my 30 long, I was thinking reef, but only low light softies. How would a clown probably a false percula. A royal grama, a hi fin goby with a pistol shrimp, obviously a cleanup crew, and a few of these small gobies I have that are under an inch long. How does that sound. It will have a sump/refugium eventually. OR a clown and a pygmy angel of some sort with a goby or two. how does that sound? (I WANT AN ANGLERFISH SO BAD LOL)

by anglerfish im assuming those are frogfish?if so my buddy has 2 of em in his 12 nano.they dont bother each other at all.both are only about 1 1/2" long.here is one of em

If you really want a frogfish, you really cant keep any other fish-besides maybe a frogfish the same size, as they will eat anything smaller than them. Little ones are hard to find, you may have to buy one. I have seen small ones in the fish stores often, I dont know if they are from out here though. I have kept them many times, temporarily, and just dont keep any smaller fish in their tank, as in seconds they will eat them!

It is a bad idea to keep any fish with a frogfish that is not at least twice as big as the frog fish as eventually it will try to eat anyting near its own size. Your friend should separate the two fish. A friend of mine worked at the Florida Aquarium and said that they often had frogfish eat each other.

Sorry

this tank only has the frogs in it,but he used to have a blue damsel in the tank and he never was dinner for the frogs.id say that any fish that is housed with a frogfish, should be bigger than the frog(at least 1.5x the frog) in order to not become dinner.
