Past spring, I had been dealing with tons of macro algae in my display and had been battling all kinds of strange growth.. I rinsed off all my rocks, re-arranged them for better flow and raised my MG to higher levels to try to kill my problems… Eventually this worked!! Later I setup a GEO CA reactor and got is very close to dialed in (so I thought) then I had to travel weekly (home on weekend but no time for tank) and neglected to check any of my parameters all summer. Well I wanted to get back into stocking the tank with LPS and SPS corals so I figured I better check things out.. To my surprise my levels were as follows. What can I do to balance this out better? I am also having problems with my pumps getting calcium buildup on them every month….. I really want this fixed!! I broke a $50 tunze impeller last week trying to unfreeze it… Bummer!!

PH = 8.19 @ 2:30PM (PH Monitor)
ALK = 5.71 (SUPER HIGH)
DHK = 16 (Again Super High)
MG = 1440 (This should be ok right?)
CA = 450 (Is this High?) I have read 400+ but I never had it this high.
Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 0
PO4 = 0
