I finally got pics of my 55 gal reef... Tank is almost 9 months old, and everything is from Salty Critter in Vermillion, OH.

very nice looking tank. It looks like you are off to the right start,
I have a 55 gal tank as well, but mine is a disaster, I never did keep up with my water changes, and I have learned so much about this hobby, I am going to break down the tank and cook my live rock in the dark for a long time, I have way to much algee.
and my tank is beyond the fight to bring it back without drastic measures. yours looks great.

Also, has one of your softies attached itself to the side of the glass or is that just a reflection from the camera?

yes, xenia fell off the rock when i purchased it. it attached to the glass at the bottom of the tank.and its worked its way all the way to the top of the glass!

Have you thought about putting a background on your tank? Nice tank btw!

As zimmy1979 said, I think it will look even better with a backgroud. You can use some latex paint and just paint over the glass.
