Well, to answer some of the questions, The tank is over 20 years old. I built it out of plywood and fiberglass. Painted it with epoxy paint. I have simple floss pre-filters and a few carbon filled canisters. I know a lot of you frown on canisters but they have worked for me without any trouble. I have had as many as 7 metal halides on the tank in the past but now only use one for about 4 hrs a day. I have par 38 spotlights from RapidLED and 2 kessils i took off of my other tanks. Also I have an LED shop light from Sam's Club that is a little too yellow but works great too. The rock is stacked on cinder blocks that have aged all these years with all kinds of tube worm skeletons growing on them. They also make a few caves underneath as well. I used to have scuba gear to go into the tank for maintenance but haven't used it in a long time. It's about time to get in there and scrape the front glass off. I hate to have to do that as the water is so cold when you get in it all the way. Any divers know what I am talking about. I did angle the spot lights away from the glass so algae has slowed way down. I will try to get a better pic of the front when I can get the glares from showing. Thanks for all the input.
