Finally had some time to upload pics. This is my tank move from the 76 gal corner to the new 100gal 6ft tank. Enjoy.

Van full of Buckets with rock and water:

A few of the Fish in one of the buckets:

Tank filled up with all the stuff that was in the buckets. Frame structure and no cover. The silicone in the sump was not dry yet. it was not hooked up to the tank. Don't move fast is the lesson learned here. Everything except for a few fish and the clams died.

All done except for stain:

There we go. This tank is about 4 months old now. Still very new. I'm still having algae issues but it seems better every day...

I'm not going to mention specific names since I don't want to leave anyone hanging. Big thanks to everyone who helped me with frags and advise. Thanks for those encouraging words when I was about to throw in the towel and just take this thing down.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thank you again for everything,

BK

Thanks guys.

Justin: Nope could not beat the price of a free 55 gal tank when it fits exactly. I thought about it and still am but for now one of those sulfur denitrator things and a larger skimmer are going to be 1st and 2nd on the list then maybe a acrylic sump.

Did you ever figure out (to the nearest 32nd lol) how long and wide that baffle needs to be. I'm going acrylic shopping tomorrow afternoon.

breutus: thanks, anchor is doing good. falling onto the sand constantly but that will be fixed with some super glue soon. Did you get one of those anemones to split? I still need to drill the 40 for you...

Paul: thanks, thanks for all the coral. They are looking good and growing nicely. Go and buy a larger tank man. She will never know. lol. If she asks you just play stupid and tell her it was always there "whtcha talkin bout woman?" <-- last defense lol

Jeff: Thanks. Hope your apartment has not gone up in flames lol. Going to buy the acrylic for your project tomorrow.

latazyo: thank you. What did you decide to do with the BK LOOP?

I don't think that will work. I need build a lid first for the top off so when the hole in the tubing breaks siphon, water doesn't get everywhere.

That should not be too hard. what are the outside dimensions of that box?

You can turn the hole down so that the stream goes back into the top off container. It will still break the siphon.

No fire yet. I just rewired the fans today though! When we took out that old ballast we also disconnected the fans. I went and bought an adapter (I found a DC12V there Leighton for 4.95) and hooked it all up, crossed my fingers, and plugged it in. It worked luckily.

jxmetal = sucks

I had to pay 9.95 for a new one

that store was awesome though

do they have ballasts for T5s?

Installed the fans today. Turns out I need a much better power supply for them. Temperature climbed up to 85F in about 3 hours...

These things are super quiet by the way...
