Hello all, hey lets not forget we do have a raffle going on for a little set up. You can all get your tickets over at The Coral Reef. I am sure if you can't get in, you can call and buy them over the phone. They are selling for $3.00, what a steal.
We will be trying to have the drawing during the Feb. meeting, this will only happen if there are enough tickets sold by then to pay for the tank and put a few $$$ in STARS account. For sure at least pay for the tank.
I don't have all the specifics on the tank but will try to get them and post them here.
I believe it is a Cadlights twelve gallon all in one. If I am not mistaken the light and pump are with it. This is a new set up that is being provided to STARS by The Coral Reef at their cost for STARS to raffle. Some lucky person will win a nice set up and maybe STARS will put a few $$$ in the account for future use.
Audrey if you have all the specifics on this please post them here. Daniel please help me out here and tell all of us what we are trying to win in the raffle. I have to apologize for not having this info at this time but I did want to get this thread out there and remind everyone the tank is still up for raffle.
Maybe this will help some, I am pretty sure this is the set up
The 12G Nano system is designed like our 22G and 39G models equipped with a 3-chamber system. At the heart is a full sized built-in refugium offering an effective approach to a natural reef. The "Open top" design is great for maintaining cool operating temperatures and prevents overheating. The system runs at 20X per hour with a 250 GPH pump and has a surface skimmer intake just like our larger 22G and the 39G models. It comes with our 4 bulb 32W T5 lighting strip with individual reflectors that double the light output for keeping a wide variety of Corals and marine fish. Our 12G mini-reef boasts many of these well-balanced attributes for a truly simplistic yet high performance system without the need for modifying.
*Tank dimensions: (L)15" x (W)15" x (H)13"
*Full sized 3-chambers refugium dimensions: (L)14.5" x (W)3" x (H)12.5"
*90 degree hinged light mount.
*(2) 8W 10,000K and (2) 8W Actinic blues.
* German polished Aluminum individual reflectors that double the light output
*2 independent manual switches.
*Glass canopy optional.
*Now with Loc-line bulk-head fitting set for wavemaker compatibility and directional flow
Link will take you to a pic.
