Hello all, hey lets not forget we do have a raffle going on for a little set up. You can all get your tickets over at The Coral Reef. I am sure if you can't get in, you can call and buy them over the phone. They are selling for $3.00, what a steal.
We will be trying to have the drawing during the Feb. meeting, this will only happen if there are enough tickets sold by then to pay for the tank and put a few $$$ in STARS account. For sure at least pay for the tank.

I don't have all the specifics on the tank but will try to get them and post them here.
I believe it is a Cadlights twelve gallon all in one. If I am not mistaken the light and pump are with it. This is a new set up that is being provided to STARS by The Coral Reef at their cost for STARS to raffle. Some lucky person will win a nice set up and maybe STARS will put a few $$$ in the account for future use.

Audrey if you have all the specifics on this please post them here. Daniel please help me out here and tell all of us what we are trying to win in the raffle. I have to apologize for not having this info at this time but I did want to get this thread out there and remind everyone the tank is still up for raffle.

Maybe this will help some, I am pretty sure this is the set up

The 12G Nano system is designed like our 22G and 39G models equipped with a 3-chamber system. At the heart is a full sized built-in refugium offering an effective approach to a natural reef. The "Open top" design is great for maintaining cool operating temperatures and prevents overheating. The system runs at 20X per hour with a 250 GPH pump and has a surface skimmer intake just like our larger 22G and the 39G models. It comes with our 4 bulb 32W T5 lighting strip with individual reflectors that double the light output for keeping a wide variety of Corals and marine fish. Our 12G mini-reef boasts many of these well-balanced attributes for a truly simplistic yet high performance system without the need for modifying.

I went out to Coral Reef and talked to Daniel today. It seems people have forgot about the raffle. The raffle is still going on and tickets are only $3 dollars each. There hasn't been a whole lot of tickets sold so go out and supprt the cause. It is a beautiful tank to have and with tickets this cheap, there is no excuse to not get any. LOL! Seriously, stop by CR and check out the tank, you will love it. The drawing is still to be determined but dont worry every ticket you buy, you will put your information on the back of so if you win you will be contacted. So go out and get your tickets you might just be the lucky one.

Bump, the raffle is still going on, tickets are still for sale. They are currently for sale only @ the coral reef but I will try to arrange a way that we could sell tickets @other stores, maybe even display the tank @ other stores.

Go out and get some tickets, it is a very nice tank and it could be yours for the proce of a $3 ticket.

We are currently shooting for drawing the ticket in March, more to information will be posted once we have reached a good number of ticket sales

Erik

I will pick up a few. It will have to be over the phone since I never can make it over there in time.

Oh snap!! I was with Daniel at TCR and forgot all about it. Leanor and Daniel are great people and STARS is indebted to TCR for all they have done to promote this club. Many thanks to both these great people.

I have to agree totally, Loanor and Daniel are some of the nicest people a person could ever hope to meet. They are very supportive of STARS and always willing to help if they can. I thank them so very much for all that they do.

Okay now lets not forget to get tickets bought for the raffle. It would really be nice to see this raffle take place at the march meeting. The raffle will only happen after there have been enough tickets sold to make it worth while to even have the raffle.

Get as many tickets as you want and for only $3.00 each.

Hey guys we need more people to go out and get some tickets, We have not sold that many tickets, they are only $3 each. I know Its out fault that the tank hasnt been properly advertised in the LFS but I am working on making a flyer to post up on the stores. I dont know if Charlie is back but I will try to get with him since he has the tickets that Dennis used on the first raffle. Once I get those I will try to get some more stores to support the raffle and hope to get some more ticket sales

Erik
