I moved my tank across the living, I kept all the same water but while I was in the process of moving it, I changed my substrate from crush coral and went back with a sand bed. When I went to hook my lights back up, the ballast blew, so I was without a light after the move for roughly 5 days. Now that I have got my new lights, I have started to develop brown and green hair algae everywhere. Is my tank recycling ? I use RODI water and I am pretty sure my filters are ok in it. I run my day lights for 10 hours and my blues for 12.

I moved from my 90 to my 180 (3) weeks ago and I have checked for ammonis every other day and never had any show up. That meing said I did have some brown algae show up on the sand and glass for the second week but that has receeded and I really done have any other issues. I also had a new lighting setup. I run my blues for 10 hours and my whites for 8... Might help to down them to be that, just a thought
