tank size

I want to have a mantis tank at minimal cost, so what would be the smallest tank that i could safely put a mantis in that wouldnt feel like a closet for him? Would it be ok to put it in a 5 gal or should i get a 10? Thanks

Depends on what kind you get. Mine will maybe get 3", it's in a 10.
