Tank, Skimmer, Light, Refractometer, RO Unit 4 sale

You're welcome. :)

Bob came and got the tank, sand, backround, light package today.

So I've got the RO Unit and the Skimmer left.

$90 for the skimmer with all accessories, was $180 new. 1/2 price with only a few months use.

$50 for the RO unit, slightly less than 1/2 of what I paid a few months back and I doubt I ran more than 30-40 gallons through it at the most.

Corey;

Bump again, if someone bought the skimmer and the RO I would do $125 for the pair. Insane discount from new.

Corey:
Let me see what I can come up with.Give me a little time,but i do know 1st come 1st serve.I just got 2 mushroom and 2 sand sifting star fish today. Kinda blew my wad this week lol.

Hmmmm did you not let this tank cycle after you set it up before adding fish?? I am also pretty sure that 3.5 lbs of live rock isn't enough as the general rule of thumb is around 1 to 2 lbs per gallon....I am not much of a supporter of cycling a tank with fish even damsels......I think good cured live rock in sufficient quantity will jump start the cycle but I still think you need to let things cycle out naturally then add livestock. The sand sifting star is not really a good choice in a 20g as there is insufficient footprint to supply this voracious appetite with enough fauna to support it even in a long set up tank. A sand sifting star will totally decimate any life in your sand bed in short order and then it will slowly starve and die buried in your substrate somewhere. Sorry I am not trying to be negative or anything just trying to ensure your future success in the hobby......

yea sand sifter stars need a 75g tank min. and even at that I am not sure if thats enough.

Thanks alot for your input. I got steered wrong.So what your telling me is that i neen around 20-40 pounds of live rock?Will the tank hold that much rock?Thats a lot of weight in such a small space.So what do you think i should do then?I appreciate all the help I can get.I guess thats what this club is all about helping each other out.So maybe you can tell me why the top of my live rock is brown and the sand?

Those are diatoms. Your tank is cycling and will do it for a few weeks. With all honesty you could go to 1/2lb per gallon on your small tank with the min 20% water changes a week and full maintence, and cleaning which you should do to every tank.

Bump again, free 29g tank with purchase of both items. It needs a reseal but it's still a free tank.

One more try at sweetening the deal, I'd really like to move this stuff.

I have a 50g Hexagon Tank I will also give for free. It is from 1976 (Not a typo), last time I had it filled was just a few months ago and it still held water but I can't promise anything as it is 32 years old. It weighs a crap ton because the glass is insane think. It is 24"x28"x24" approx. Very cool tank with glass lids. FREE with purchase and the 29g tank also free.
