Tank stand height

As I'm planning my stand I was thinking about the height. I really like Vince's because you can look strait into it while standing and I think it gives it the illusion of being bigger. Now after seeing Jerry's tank witch by the way looks so amazing you would never know he just had a major catastrophe and it was just put back together nice job Jerry, but I realized on a bigger tank stand height does not seam to be that big a deal one way or the other because of the size. It's big already lol. The only thing that dictated my 90's stand height was skimmer height. All that being said I think the stand height does make a small tank it appear bigger. Does that kind of make sense lol???? As usual your input is appreciated. Pros and cons????

My stand on my 180 is called a "sky line". 36 tall. I get a lot of compliments on it, as most viewers look straight on at the tank. I've been really happy with it.

I beleive you are correct in the illusion of it seeming larger. I think it is because when say a 20L, very short tank 12", is on a lower to the ground stand you need to bend to look at it strait on. I think this gives you the feeling because you have to bend over to look at it that it is smaller than it really is. When the tnak is eye level it more or less is filling you field of view so it appears like it is a little larger than it really is. All a point of perspective, so I think if you were to have a chair at each tank eye level than they would appear to look the same. Also I think aquascaping has a bit to do with how large the tank looks as well.

Common cully look at your tank it has nothing to do with the stand lol. It’s just that people get awestruck by all the beautiful corals.
