Tank tranfer method

You don't need it, but if you want to add something for reassurance prime would be better. I just finished a TTM with my magnificent foxface and I didn't use anything. I checked ammonia everyday and it never spiked. Your case might be different depending on how many fish your transferring within the tanks and how much you're feeding. I only fed flakes and nori. If you don't want to test everyday like I did, buy Seachem's Ammonia badge.

I did purchase Stability and a filter sponge for the observation period which will be about two weeks. Stability is good for longer periods of stay because it adds nitrifying bacteria, Prime detoxifies ammonia.

Any of the bacteria-in-a-bottles will take a few days to get settled and productive, of which you would have done your next transfer by. So as Izzy said, it isn't needed (nor even beneficial for that matter).

just add an ammonia detox throughout to neutralize any ammonia build up, could even dose it every day. if you have a lot of fish, you could do transfers every 2 days instead of every 3rd to help with removing any ammonia.

i have done TTM many many times and have never had an issue with ammonia though. food and waste takes time to decay and build up the ammonia. the best part of TTM is that you do a 100% water change before it grows to a critical level.
