This is not an ideal situation... Can you share any advice?
My fish have been in QT for 3 weeks 20 gallon - 2 baby percula clowns / blue spotted jawfish. My Mandarin has been in separate QT for 2 weeks. My mandarin has a white spot on him no idea what this is. I am picking up a 1 inch puffer fish tonight that I have been watching for 2 weeks.
I am going to do TT with all three fish and the 1 inch puffer. The challenge is that after I do Tank Transfer I am leaving on vacation 2 days later. I can not leave these fish in QT while I am away b/c feeding the mandarin would be too hard.
I am now thinking I MUST dose them prazi while I do Tank Transfer so that I can place them in my fallow 50 gallon for 4 months DT so they have ample food and hiding spaces. Also b/c that tank is cycled and I am not worried about ammonia.
Any advice you would give to this not ideal situation? I am thinking I will add prazi and keep them in treatment for the first +4 days. And then as I make my second batch of water I will have prazi in the same strength in the second batch. That will give the fish treatment of 7 days. The bottle says treatment of 5 - 7 as prescribed. I will plan this out better next time... but at this point I already have 3 fish in QT that need a bigger better home with live rock!!
I am picking up dry sand today to add a bowl to my tank for the blue spotted jawfish. I am making brine shrimp today to feed mandarin along with cyclopeeze. I am looking for Nutramar ova also.
DOES prazi interact with ammonia neutralizers?
