Tanked?

LoL at this thread, but on the topic of the tv show, i found the guys kinda irritating.

I agree the guy looks like kevin james and the other, a donkey.

The one guy i did like was "redneck"

WAY too many fish for the tanks they are putting them in. At first i was really upset about this show, but i've been thinking about it and logically if these guys didnt know what they were doing, they wouldn't be in business or atleast not to the scale that they are.

Props to them for getting a saltwater aquarium show on animal planet, but as many of you already pointed out, there's room for improvement.

Wish animal planet would focus more on educating about the hobby then all the "drama".

Exactly , I love their project built and unique designs but bad husbandry is passes to oncoming hobbits, us more experienced know better , watch the show with brackets ( (($))) []

My wife and I both think the show needs improvment but its still funny to watch . and yes he reminds us both of kevin james .looked like the lift on the ray tank was for a monitor wether it be for sales , pos or just to watch still kinda cool even if its unpractical.

I like Kevin James .Cool show. Some cool tanks.Cracked me up when he put the hot sauce in his food and drink. I woundnt mind to have my desk at work being an aquarium, I would have done the top clear instead of granite though.That way I could look down at them.

I just watched the latest episode last night where they did the first true reef tank on the show. I was shocked at how they just threw it together. I couldn't help but think of how that tank might look after 6 months and how many of the corals will croak. And a whole school of clowns? Wow.

I hope you people here realize how big and how long they have been in business and the fact it is TV and there is so much behind the scenes you will never see it is a show for the masses they know what they are doing they wouldn't be such a big company if the did everything wrong ITS TV!!!!!!!!!!!!

But its the drama that gets mainstream veiwers hopefully everyone here takes what they do as TV drama and that's it ...cause we all know they dont show the best practices

If you take the show for what it is, entertainment, it's pretty enjoyable. I do like some of their tank designs.

cool builds.......Im sure they will mold the show perfectly to the peoples liking. Im positive they will introduce coral into the show.

I like to see the bad*** tanks they build there all pretty sick. As far as seeing the science behind how they set the tanks up and make them work, the general population doesnt care about these things. Think about it like this, when one of your freinds comes over (whos not into fish tanks) you show him your fish and the inside of your tank but when a fellow reefer stops by you show him your sump and filtration.....It just seem like to me unless you are in the hobbie you dont appreciate the science behind it you just want to see how cool the inside of the tank looks! It would be cool if they made a show about reef tanks and growing corals.

I wish they would have went with LA Fish Guys instead of this show. I think Jim Stime laid the ground work for them to consider an aquarium reality TV show.

Their last show actually got into more tech and I think it was a lot better than the first few episodes.

This interview just solidified my decision to not watch the show any further. This guy is a donkey. It doesn’t matter if he is from New York or anywhere else in the world, all I hear out of his mouth is Hee-Haw. Furthermore, “marine science”? In the high school I went to we had marine biology, it was for the flunkies and athletes who couldn’t pass real science class.
