It's ~150 miles from Little Rock, AR, 125 miles from Tulsa, OK, and nearly 200 miles from Oklahoma City. It's near the Arkansas border almost directly East of Oklahoma City.

hey guys ms almost perfect but it is about 30 min from fortsmith and yea howe i have never heard any describe where poteau is by using howe. we have pretty nice pet store but they dont have very many saltwater tanks so when stuff comes in it is real cutthroat to see who gets it. and me being in school i dont always get the best selection

If you're ever in the Oklahoma City or Tulsa area, there are plenty of wonderful stores filled with saltwater stuff. If you're heading to OKC, hop on here and ask around. If you're heading to Tulsa, hop on the Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society board and ask

Read up on the COMAS donor program as well, as a member and participating member in this particular program, almost my entire 55g has been fully stocked at minimal cost to me, and some of the stuff I see coming through the donor program is awesome, I just got a very beautful frilly mushroom from Dugg, lot's of green/blue/and purple color on it. $0 =o) And I really hate to sound like I'm upselling, cause I can't stand sell people, but the club membership I got literally paid for itself at my second meeting, when I left with 7 new coral frags. And i havn't even mentioned store discounts or anything yet, lol.

it all sounds really great i i have been to 1 fish store cant remember the name it was in okc and it was AWESOM cant wait to go back. and for the COMAS do you have to be at the metting to join. COMAS sounds GREAT!!!! but me living about 2-3 hours from okc and my parents not letting me drive that far i dont know if i will be able to join but maybe just maybe my parents will see it another way
You dont have to come to meetings to join, but it helps if you can make one or two a year since it makes getting frags of corals easier....the laternative is to mail them to you.
If you join, and you join by the Jan meeting we will have lots of give aways for all the signed up members. Have a look at the top of the forum for details on what we are giving away. Thats the only meeting you dont have to be at to win a prize.
Let us know if you are coming to OKC and im sure we can get some frags together for you.

COMAS Rocks!
Tell your parents that it's better to be out late going to a meeting to learn to be productive and successful at a hobby that not only makes you happy, provides great insight into being worldly concious (global warming, coral reef bleachings, stuff like that) and that it's much better to be doing this than out getting into trouble with friends. Well, I should say 'other' friends, cause we're all friendly here. Some really awesome people to associate with. Invite the parents along, one view of Paul W's tank and they'll probably want one of their own, lol.
