A couple things, I suck at picture taking:D

I also suck at picture taking:D

Now, I am going to get four Radium 400w bulbs for the cube tank after a year on the Ushio bulbs. I really like the color I had with my Radium on my 120g tank and the 20K is just more mellow.

The long tank does not have the VHO bulbs turned on in the picture, waiting for a couple extension harnesses to get here from Icecap.

The media reactors came today from Myreef Creations. I wanted GEO but he is just too dang busy being THE MAN:D He is a BFF (best friend forever) anyway:lol:

I have a huge order of carbon and GFO arriving tomorrow and will start running that. I also got the Hanna colorimeter kit like DST has so I can test at will for phosphates.

That black sand really makes the colors pop out.. Nice looking rock. Do you have more, or is that all you are going with?

What's the plan with the plywood and the bottom?

We (Capo and I) still need to glue/nail the trim up, then I will paint it to match the rest of the basement. It has been a work in progress....it will happen, just need to get the old man out to the wood store to help me explain how to have them cut it.

Looking good, I assume you are still waiting on some more rock.

I might add 2 or 3 more pieces to the long tank. I don't want piles of rock in my tanks...been there done that....these tanks are for corals to grow and fish to swim in the corals....just enough rock to get there and leave space is my goal.

Congrats Nook. Looks really nice. I wasn't positive I'd live long enough to actually see a fish swim in there! I really want to see this live and in person one of these days. Thanks for the pictures!

Looks great Nook. That 5x5 is a size I had contemplated for my future tank. I'd love to check it out sometime. And I like the idea of the less rock, more coral and fish swimming area approach. Very nice.

Nice work on the tanks.... yeah those pictures do suck! :) You need a better camera if you expect some "awesome" pictures. Your point and shoot just won't get the job done.

However, your piece of the ocean looks great. I am a believer in the dark sand now. Let us know how it does when the poop starts to accumilate.

Nook i had also been contemplating black sand for my new 240... thanks for confirming how awesome it is for me.....
