Tansu inspired mixed reef & Haddoni:Clown setup

Simply gorgeous! One problem thou, if you have people over they may drool over the woodworking over instead of whats in the tank :)

very beautiful !! that stand is amaziing, im glad you found the shadow boxes? for the doors, they look very nice! where did you get those handles? I can see you pay close attention to detail!! cant wait untill you post more pictures.
very very nice

what do you plan on keepin in this amazing set up you have

Thank you biecacka! For the cubes, I'm going to transfer these Haddoni and Clowns over. One pair in each cube. In the current home, I seeded macro to have a macro and anemone tank. However, in the new cube I will only seed sea grass or sargassum. I will also put an urchin in each tank for some control.

For the middle tank, I will transfer over my current sps and probably buy some more. It will be mixed reef. Right now, I'm planning some Pyramid Butterfly (Zoster), a tang, and some wrasses. I have a skunk clown that will be grandfathered in too. :)

GustavoAZ: Thank you too! I'm scared to put water in the tanks because I don't want to mess this up, I'm VERY messy. What I found out is that it's okay, he mixed a 2 part type Polyeurathane and put 3 rounds of 5 coats. The other thing we are doing when we finish this off is a bead of silicone around the trim in between the tank and wood in all places so water will not run down the front or sides and settle in the grooves.

If anyone has a bad experience with this, I would love to hear your words of caution!

MathU: Hahhaa, I thought that yellow fish was a nice touch. The woodworking crew did that for my visit. Thanks for the compliment on the handles. I had a hard time with it, but I got the handles from ebay.

mnswreefer: That's all I have for now. I have to plumb it and then test it, that's always no fun. It will probably be a while before there are more pics.....my best friend is getting married in Vegas so I'll be gone for a while.

Looking at the canopy and trim a little closer, I screwed up the dimensions for the lip. I'm sad but if you are tall, most likely you wouldn't notice (I'm 5 feet tall) Looks like I'm looking for some grey pvc.

I can see the canopy is not going to cover the top of the water line, and I will also be able to see some pipes coming down into the water. That's no fun. I wanted the trim to cover the sand bed, but it looks like it won't.

Ah well, I can't do anything now. But I will mention it when they come back to make some adjustments.

I'm glad everything tied together nicely for you. Also good to see that you didn't have to deal with china for a recreation of the other art work. Absolutely beautiful set up and can't wait to see them full.

Thank you everyone. Fatrip it's nice to see your post!
I've ordered the additional pipe and fittings I need so all the return and closed loops will be grey Sch. 80.
I'll post more pictures after the water test.

A big thank you!

A big thank you!

In all my excitement, I forgot to thank the one that made this all possible.

All of this was coordinated by Fish Planet, without them, my dream would still be a dream only.

very nice workmanship on the stand and canopy ' s to say the least . this is going to be sweet . there are going to be 2 haddoni carpet anenomee and clowns in the 2 cubes on the sides ? then you are going to have a reef in the center is thaat correct ? wow , i can hardly wait to see it . i will be tagging along . keep up good work.
