Tansu inspired mixed reef & Haddoni:Clown setup

Hello, I would like to share my final upgrade.

LOL, I've heard and spoken those words before..."final upgrade" ;)

The woodwork turned out just beautiful Kathy and your attention to the fine details show!!! I'm so glad I stumbled across your thread this morning and will be following your progress along!

Sugar Magnolia Absolutely amazing work. I love it!

StripestheEel Very nice mate. Good luck with the rest of the build!

lucidheights That is all kinds of sexy. Good luck with the scaping

JASON L. WOW......Best I have seen in awhile!!!

robot2222 very nice workmanship on the stand and canopy ' s to say the least . this is going to be sweet . there are going to be 2 haddoni carpet anenomee and clowns in the 2 cubes on the sides ? then you are going to have a reef in the center is thaat correct ? wow , i can hardly wait to see it . i will be tagging along . keep up good work.

Thank you so much for the nice words. Robot2222, yes, the 2 cubes on the sides will have Haddoni's and clowns in them. I have 3 Haddoni's so one will have 2 and the other just one. I may opt to sell one too, since they do get big. I have 2 pairs of Picasso's so one will go in each cube. I couldn't decide if I wanted skunks, maroons, or clarkii in there. I have singles of each of those.

The center will be mixed reef and I'm hoping the aquascaping will turn out how I think I want it.

Very nice build I really like the cubes on either side!

Thanks! I definitely wanted to keep the anemones separate from the reef. This was the only way I can see it working out.

This project goes to show what can be accomplished with some planning. Beautiful stand.

Wow, thank you. That is really great to hear. I must add, this project goes to show what can be accomplished with the right people that are highly skilled. I'm fortunate to find them for my upgrade.

SaraB! Oh thank you as well.:spin1: You have fine taste, so your comment really makes me feel nice. Yes, I bet you've heard those words before. But I don't feel I can top this one. I really don't have the energy to either! Whew, I seriously almost gave up. Talk about patience in this hobby.

:D I have been so frustrated! I didn't have enough time or fittings to start plumbing, I had to wait for my orders to arrive.....then I went out of town for 5 days for a destination wedding........I'm back and hit some snags.

Someone thought it was funny to take pictures of me while I was plumbing. Here I am plumbing away at the first closed loop:

Soooooo, I found out 4 out of 6 of my 1" bulkhead holes don't fit my bulkheads. All the rest fit fine.

Amazing, I sent Fish Planet an email asking if there were any suggestions tonight.....and I got a reply- tonight!
I can't believe he is working on it at 9:30 on Friday night. He is my hero.

Tomorrow the woodworker is coming to install some of the panels that go in between the tanks so there are no gaps. He said he would take a look at my canopy to see if there is anything that can be done about the lip not being a little lower. More pics then!

Now that's service!!!

Before This project is over, someone deserves a beverage. Bottle of wine or something..

Its a very inspiring build. And it shows your taking your time. Keep up the good work

Hang in there Kathy! There's always snags and things that don't quite work as planned but I guess that's where the patience part comes into play ;) It'll all come together in the end...it's just getting there that's the painful process!

Hahah dahenley, beverages huh? Thanks for your nice words of encouragement, because I definitely need it until the very end.

Sara! Thank you as well. Geez, can you believe it's not over yet? More info below.

NM1975: I'm with you on that, it's the most incredible stand I've seen as well and so happy that I was introduced to this woodworking team. WOWEE, I have a lot of pressure to make the tanks look like they deserve to be in this stand and canopy.

Eel-byte: Thank you. I've been frightened into patience after getting this monster in the house. I'm glad that I'm too scared to move forward quickly.

So, William and Amy had come over yesterday to install the panels to nicely finish off the gaps in between the tanks:

Well, it doesn't fit perfectly. Cadlights didn't make their tanks perfectly square (cubes) so the fit is tighter at the bottom and there is a small gap at the top. They are going to re-make the panels and come back later in the week to install new ones.

At that time, they will mount my LED displays for the temperature sensors for my fans in the middle canopy and move my track back a little bit for my lights. I love this track!
