Tansu inspired mixed reef & Haddoni:Clown setup

Congrats on the twins. They are beautiful and healthy. I see we both had some struggle during our build but has come back to complete it no matter what the cause. Will be following up on how things progress. Enjoy the children.

Been lurking around this thread for awhile now. Congratulations on the new duo. Real cuties. Raising twins will be quite a project on its own.

Looking forward to seeing the tank project get finished. Good luck on both!

I stumbled upon this thread by accident. I started reading and couldn't stop and nearly missed my flight. This build is EPIC.....congratulations on the healthy, happy kids. I'll be following attentively from now on. Good Luck!

Thanks for all your nice thoughts everyone!

Well......I contacted Jesse at Elos and they are looking for my original parts. MORE bad news about this damn overflow is that the hole in the overflow is offset to the hole drilled in the glass overflow. So, it doesn't line up and I can't plumb it through (see from left side). So now all of my stuff has to go up and over. I've had to order a few more fittings so I can finish this.

As soon as it's plumbed and leak tested, the woodworker is coming to finish attaching everything.

I can't believe my carpet anemones are still alive in the holding tank....no skimmer or powerheads!

My fittings should be in soon and I can try again this weekend.

Amazing amazing amazing!! Your patience blows my mind, cant wait to see the project finished. Congrats on the twins and best of luck in all your future endeavors. Subscribed.

bmullikin, that's a good idea. Except the damn hole in the glass is 1/2"!! I had to dremel the overflow hole to fit a 3/4" through there. I figure I will go up and over with the 3/4". I really don't want 1/2" outputs on my closed loop.

aquariumpav: Thanks for your nice post, but really my patience has been pushed and pushed on this build!!! Now, I feel like I'm forced to make do with what I have instead of having it done the way I wanted it from the start. *sigh* Hope to make it all worth it in the end. :)

Have you given up on this project?

NO!
I have not given up. I got it all plumbed, got water in it...but couldn't run it yet because I was still waiting on 2 plugs from Elos. This is after a couple of floods.

I just got those in early last week!

I got the tank running and turned on the closed loop and have two fittings from the oceans motions that show a slow drip. This is because I tightened it, and apparently I needed a stronger person to do it.

I'm planning to post pictures after I get the sand and rocks in, and it all settles. There were many times that I said to just forget about this, because it seemed that life had just changed too much for me. I'm still in......pictures will be posted as soon as it cycles!

Yes, there are only pictures of the dogs.... wheres more Kid pictures. (they are as much of the build as anything else)

Thanks Taipan and Time2cre8, I really appreciate your words. This has been a big sore spot in the house and with my spouse!

Henley! I've thought about you from time to time, wondering how you have been. Pictures of puppy, now almost adult (with baby boy):
