it may work, for a while. But unless you are REALLY REALLY lucky it will cause you problems sooner or later. Also for the small ammount of money it is when considered in with everything else involved in the hobby then why not spend the little bit of extra money to be sure. Even if the tank gets by i am almost positive it would be even better if you use ro or rodi water.
