Tap Water

Running tap water in a test run on a 125aga ,I need to drain it and add ro + salt is there any precautionary measures I need to take other than draining the tank, thanks in advance .

I'm not aware of any! Other than to make sure all connectors for the pipes/hoses are tightened...

Mine was just run last Sunday with tap water to make sure everything was in working order. It was drained and just filled with RO/DI water. Just added salt today. No probs!!

I was lazy and test ran my tank with RO/DI.

If I needed to drain it, I only need to drain it 3 inches.

My tank is drilled so all I need to do is drain it to the bulk heads. Also, my first filled, I only filled it up to my close loop. Checked my closed loop. Fixed any issues, then compeleted the filling.
