Tard question of the day

I cant seem to bring my nitrate to zero it always hovers 10-5ppm or less. The lowest it dropped was 2.5ppm. I dont have any nuisance algae. I clean my 1-2 a week so that tells me i have low nutrient system. My question is would 5ppm of nitrate retard color growth or color? I know phosphate does. TY

BTW i have zero phosphate using Salifert test kit..YAY!!!

It may help brown up some corals with excess Zoox, but it is hard to say whether that happens when phosphate is low.

How are you exporting nitrogen?

i have a PM skimmer that i'd like to upgrade it's rated for 100G but my tank is 150Lbs. I have chaeto in the fuge with 24/7 lighting. Thanks for the article

More skimming might help, as might more chaetomorpha or brighter light on it.
