I'm going to be visiting Tampa Bay Area tomorrow and would like to know the best Coral/Fish stores in the area. Give me some places to visit please.

For show tanks/really stunning stuff, I'd reccomend Coral Corral.

Depends on if you're looking to buy a lot or just look

Rockin Reef is on the top of my list for sure. I just like the environment there. But, FAOIS, Coral Corral and Fins and Skins are all really good LFS. If you're looking for nice coral I'd definitely sugest FAOIS and Coral corral.

One Day: faois, creative aquariums, corals and fins

Next Day: coral corral, marine warehouse

Sometimes: rockin reef

This is the order I stop at the stores on my way home from Dunedin to Tampa, I go just about every other day

Rockin Reef is just meh to me.

Most of their specimen tanks are filthy and covered in hair algae. Some of their coral they have for sale is either dead or near dead. A lot of it was not even illuminated in the back bargain area.

Their prices were either on par or higher than some of the much nicer fish stores in my opinion.

I pick up frozen food there every once and a while though.

I've really got no complaints about Rockin Reef. Most of my zoas have come from them and they are all doing great. Along with my other mushrooms and palys. I've gotten about 90% of my water from them also. I will agree though for a larger selection of frags I'd definitely choose Faois or CC.

I recommend Rockin Reef for sure! There staff is what makes this place so great! They also have 2 diff shipment a week that they get in so there is always new stuff! If I'm looking for SPS frags I go to Coral corral but there prices are a bit higher than most. I would check out all the places listed above as we are lucky to have so many places to choose from. If your looking for something specific post it and we cn be of more help. Happy hunting!

There is a new LFS I think the name is fancy fish it is on bay pines in the same center pet mart (petwize) used to be. Creative aquarium, Coral corral, Marine warehouse, Faois, and RnReef are always nice.

Is that opened? I drove past there last weekend because I remember hearing that the woman who worked there was opening her own place. Might have to check it out.

She has business hours posted but she is still setting up the systems. The dry goods there and a few corals but I do not know when it will be finished.

If you can find it look into Aquatic Visions in Port Richey. I cant tell you way. Just read the blogs and find out what im talking about. You wont be disappointed you did.
