TBS for over a year

sorry to hear that. Seems like you had a bad experience...did your ammonia ever get above 1 ppm?.....My tbs is absolutely fabulous...I love it more and more everyday...everyone gathers around and I don't even have fish in it yet...We all love it...sorry to hear that!!!!But i'm happy that you are now happy...

I let my tank cycle with some live sand and shrimp before I ever added the rock so there wasn't ever any noticable cycle after the rock was added. I know just one peice of rock doesn't really give anyone a great idea of the rock's quality, but I figured since I had the rock for a year and I had pics I would post them.

here is resent photo of the convict gobi.

I've got a tiny little convict goby also, in my TBS. I was amazed it survived the shipping, and only noticed it 3 weeks after the second shipment.

Now I have concerns about losing sponges, after reading this. I feed a variation of Eric's recipe, and included Zooplanton in the mix. I also feed KEnts phytoplankton--all every other day. I have a great couple of sponges that I really hope make it.

I heard the DT's are live plantkton, and the Kent is not live. Am I ok with feeding what I am feeding, or do I need live DT's. If so, where do I get this DT stuff, have not seen it in lfs's.

So that I don't get accused of getting off point from this thread, I will tie it in by saying I want to make it to one year without die off!!

THANKS for anyone's thoughts
