TDS and RO/DI

With my new 120g on the way this weekend it looks like I am going to have to finally break down and buy a RO unit. Does anyone have any idea what the TDS of city tap water is around Washington, PA? Also, I have been looking for a budget priced RO unit, anyone have any suggestions? I have my eye on a PUREWATER unit similar to this one with the six stage filters.

I got something similar from ebay and have been very happy with it so far. I routinely get between 0 and 2 TDS, which in my opinion is fine. I got great colors and growth. Its when you let the kalk reactor run too long that problems happen

Doesn't anyone use kati/ani style DI instead of RO ? The slow speed and amount of waste always turned me off from RO.

I bought the 75 GPD unit from Bulk Reef Supply, and hooked it up last night. It is very user friendly and I'll be damned if my TDS didn't go from a 134 to 0! I am happy with it so far. It comes with all of the hose,sink, drain attachments, and I ordered a TDS meter on top of that...for around $180 for everything.

Bulk Reef Supply units IMO offer the Best value for your money (especially if you can get one of them off of ebay). Top quality units at a good price.
