I can see thru you!
just an FYI.
i changed my membrane in my ro filter, and all pre filters and the di filter. i installed a dual tds meter inline with my unit. the city water in miami measures approx 250ppm.and the new system measures 13 ppm between the membrane and into the di filter. out of the di filter i measure 0. from what i understand, it's recommended to backwash the membrane every month and to change the prefilters every 6 months.
my ro consist of a 5 micron prefilter, 1 micron carbon, membrane and a di filter. i also have a 5 micron carbon filter on the whole house thus before any of the prefilters on the ro unit.
figure i'll put this out for a benchmark for anyone who is wondering what to measure on a new/good ro.
