The instructions say... "Use a screwdriver to turn the calibration button, located beside the battery holder, clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the TDS reading only when calibration is required." thats all it says.. no pictures no other directions... I have calibration solution that says 800PPM on the packet... the reading comes out as 1223 ppm on my meter so i obviously need to calibrate it.
So heres the screw they are talking about...

And here is the meter

Now shouldn't i dip the meter in the calibration solution... then adjust it to 800ppm like the packet says?. Or am i doing this wrong?. My problem is when i turn the screw (after i take the reading) half the time nothing happens.... then all of a sudden the number will drop to like 450ppm. Or sometimes the numbers will just jump from 450 to 515 up and down randomly.... what the hell is going on here?.
