TDS meter

I just purchased a dual inline tds meter.
since I'm new to this I realize now I should of had one eons ago
man my ro-di is in bad shape I hope the membrane is ok.
got it from the filter guys only 35.00
hey they asked for a plug.
but just to say this for anyone who does not have a tds meter
get one..... just my humble opinion

when i checked the count of ppm it was 42 I was shocked,
after new filters and a new canister of di resin ppm are 0
as soon as the ppm goes up I'm going to change the resin.
since I'm checking the count prior to and after the di resin
at what count out of the ro membrane should I replace the filters
running in order 5 micron sedement, GAC, 1 micron, ro membrane, di resin,GAC

After RO mine read between 5 and 15 TDS.
My incoming water varied from 260ish all the way to700+ plus TDS.
That was with a Filmtech 100gpd membrane.

Your post Ro count depend on what your imcome tap water TDS is. That is what the rejection % means on the membrane. So it should vary from user to user. Mine happens to be up to 80 at start up to 4 or lower once it settles out. My TDS is low by Iowa standards.
