i'm going straight from the tap and have been, just was curious how much better i should get it, i am not wanting to deal with waste water

Any reading other than zero without knowing what the impurity is may imply that non dissolved solids (the non TDS measurable impurities) could be too high.

0 is what i have too. You should use an R/O filter.....
