Tec t5 60" retro? Didn't know it existed

Is this really a tek 60" retro like it states? I didn't know it existed if so. Not a bad price huh. Just wanted to see if it was true or not.

I am not wild about the Workhorse ballasts but that is a Tek 60" retro. Reefgeeks sells them with Ice Cap ballasts. More $$$ but the lamps run brigher too.

Thanks Grim....so do you think i'd be good with 6x80w with the ice cap ballasts for a 125g.....they come with bulbs unlike the workhorse retro, so its not much diff in price. Or do you think i'd be better with a 6' hamilton 3x175 14k halides? For sps and clam, lps...mixed basically. I think i'm just going to do it, no worrying about price : 0 Its been a long and agonizing journey, but if i do go t5's i will get the good ones. So is hami halide fixtures yea or nea? THis will pry be my last lighting question, a shame!

The 6x80 Ice Cap is what I ran over my 125. It was good for SPS and clams.You need to run a couple fans to keep the lamps cool but other than that heat isn't an issue. You will get more light to the bottom than with a Hamilton halide system.

AO has a 60 inch retro made by fana marin its really nice looking and the best part is no wiring even has a fan

I run 6x60" with IC660s over a 180. That setup would be plenty for a 125. I run doubled up 3' IC SLR reflectors which IC will sell you for a special price direct. They are better than the TEK reflectors. There will be new improved TEK reflectors out very soon that are supposed to be better, but I think they are on the wide side.

The FM 60" doesnt really exist. They dont have US spec ballasts that will run 60" bulbs.
