Technicality question

If someone has a FOWLR tank, do they specifically buy live rock that has no coral on it? Because 4.25/6 of my live rock pieces have coral growth on them. (I say .25 because there's a chipped off piece growing maybe zoas or some type of encrusting coral). So do I technically have a "reef tank"? Haha sorry for the annoying question.

If you have corals on your live rock then you really have a reef tank ;)
But you can still just carry on as if you didn't... The corals may die though without sufficient light..

Yeah thought so. They seem pretty happy since none have died, they are growing and more popping up in different spots! It's so great when I notice something new that I never even bought!

Could be aiptasia if they are popping up in different spots! do you have photo?
Haha I do have a few aiptasia but they haven't gone nuts. The coral I do have is Favia/brain coral, a disc/plate coral, mushroom coral, goniopora and possibly montipora or zoas (it's quite young still)

They're fairly low light, of their various kinds. Sounds as if you got some good rock.
