TEK Elite Fans still having problems

I bought a Tek Elite two weeks ago and one of the fans is making horrible noise and seems to be surging. Before I purchased the light I researched it and found that the fans had issues in the past but had been fixed. Anyone else having problems still? I emailed Sunlight Supply so hopefully I will hear something back soon.
 
You definitely have the(newest) new gen fans I would contact the place where you bought it and also Sunlight Supply and if you get a run around I have some of their emails I do not work for them in any way I have a first gen and have gone through this already. PS my has not had a problem since April knock knock

Thanks for the info. I called Sunlight Supply today and left a message, I will also call the dealer where I purchased the light. I'm sure it will get resolved soon, thanks for the help.
 
My only experience with customer service at Sunlight was stellar.

I purchased the light brackets from BRS. I didn't have any mounting hardware in the box (it was apparently missed in packaging, nothing on BRS's part).

I used the "contact us" form on their site. I got a call early the next day. They shipped it that day. I had it in hand the following.

Two days after my shipment arrived I had the missing parts in hand.

I would expect no less on other service issues as far as their customer service goes.
 
Spoke with Sunlight Supply today, they are shipping out a new fan and I should have it this week. I'm very pleased with their customer service; I have heard it was great and it still seems to be the case.
 
I got my replacement fan two days ago which is working great. But this morning I got up and now the other fan that was not replaced is having the issue. Was making a horrible grinding noise. Tapping on the fan cover makes the sound go away for a few minutes but it started grinding again, and you can see that the fan is moving very slowly. I guess I will be getting a replacement for this one as well. A little frustrating for a brand new, nearly $400 light.
 
It almost seems like you got an older fixture that may have been shipped out by mistake as having the new fans.

It is possible this is the case. Either way Sunlight Supply is replacing them so no worries on my end. Just surprised to have two fans die in three weeks. Thankfully Sunlight Supply has been easy to work with and their customer service is been great.
