Tek elite status?

So the 6 bulb ati is only about 100 bucks more than the 4 bulb. From reading about how powerful these fixtures are, could that be too much light? I guess if I go the ati route, I'm going to have to hang the thing anyway, could I just raise the light if its too much? I don't want to torch anything, but I also don't want to be kicking myself down the road cause I wanted to save 100 bucks today. While ok for sps, would it be too much for things like torches or acans or ricordea?

I picked up my tank from being drilled yesterday, and the guy at the lfs said to go with a 6 bulb tek (no elite), but then I'd have to buy the legs and the acrylic shield and any cost savings starts slipping away. Sorry to drag this all out, just want to make sure I'm going in the right direction.

I had issues with lower-light stuff unless it was under a cave or corner with 6x39w PM, hence why I went SPS-Dominant... and that was 4'' off the surface of my 21'' Oceanic. If your worried about it, just go for the six-bulb.

I have been looking into an ATI fixture for my tank, however I can't hang it. Has anyone made legs for a Sunpower or Powermodule?

I just want to put in my 2 cents here. My tek, not elite, fixture is awesome. I am using 6 bulb 48" fixture over my 90 gal. I am growing sps in the sand bed! I got a fan for it and it was much much less then the ATI. I love my ATI bulbs but the fixtures just dont seem to be that much better then the TEK. I went to premium aquatics and they have a ATI next to a tek not elite and they look the exact same. Its just not worth the extra 100's of dollars. You wont even notice a differnce.
